What is ETIAS and why do I need it?
ETIAS is a travel authorization for visa-free travelers visiting Europe for short stays (up to 90 days). It’s not a visa, but it will be mandatory once launched. ETIAS pre-screens travelers for security and immigration risks and allows multiple short trips to 30 European countries while it’s valid.

How do I apply for ETIAS?
Applications will be submitted online via the official ETIAS website or app. You’ll enter personal and passport details, answer security questions, and pay a fee. Most approvals take minutes to hours. No embassy visit or paperwork is required.

What do I need to apply for ETIAS?
You need a valid biometric passport, an email address, and a debit or credit card. You’ll provide basic personal details and answer background questions. No fingerprints or biometric data are required.

How much does ETIAS cost?
The official ETIAS fee is €20. Our service which costs €49 includes an application review, submission on your behalf, the €20 ETIAS fee paid by us and support along the way. Applicants under 18 or over 70 don’t pay the fee but still must apply. If you include them as part of your application as a parent or guardian, we will review and submit them for free alongside your application. The official ETIAS site has no hidden charges though third-party services like us charge an extra service fee.

How long is an ETIAS valid? Do I have to reapply each time I travel?
ETIAS is valid for up to 3 years or until your passport expires (whichever comes first). You can use it for multiple short trips without reapplying. A new passport requires a new ETIAS.

Is ETIAS a visa? How is it different from a visa?
No. ETIAS is a travel authorization, similar to the U.S. ESTA or Canada’s eTA. It’s fully online, fast, and only for short tourist or business visits, not for work, study, or long stays.

Do children or minors need an ETIAS as well?
Yes. Every traveler, including infants and children, needs their own ETIAS. Applicants under 18 do not pay the fee. Parents or guardians apply on their behalf.

What if my ETIAS application is denied? Can I appeal or try again?
You’ll be notified with a reason and appeal instructions. Denials are rare. You may be asked for additional information before a final decision. If denied, you can appeal or apply for a regular Schengen visa.

Does having an ETIAS guarantee I can enter Europe without issues?
No. ETIAS is required but does not guarantee entry. Border officials make the final decision and may still check return tickets, funds, and compliance with entry rules.

I’m from a country that requires a visa to visit Europe. Do I need ETIAS too?
No. ETIAS is only for visa-exempt travelers. If your nationality requires a Schengen visa, you must follow the standard visa process instead.
